Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Central Inquiry, the inter-disciplinary journal of Central University is pleased to invite research articles for its next edition.

Submission Guidelines:
Papers addressing the theme of contributors’ field of specialisation should be submitted electronically here.
Abstracts should be formatted according to the following guidelines:

  1. Not more than 150 words.
  2. The abstract should highlight the problem being investigated.
  3. It must include methodology, significance of the study as well as its findings.
  4. Abstract should be in block and justified with one inch margin. It must not include a citation.

Main Document
The entire document should be between 20 and 40 pages including abstract, references and appendixes. It should be double-line spaced pages (justified, one-inch margins, block paragraphs, in Times New Roman 12-point font). Conclusions of articles should be devoid of citations. References must be APA style.

Format details
• The title of the paper should be in Sentence Case 16 points, Times New Roman.
• Level 1 headings should be bold and in capital letters (upper case), left-justified.
• Level 2 headings should be title-case, bold, and left-justified.
• Level 3 headings should be title-case, left-justified, italicised, not bold.
• There should be no numbering of sub-headings and sub-sub-headings.
• All page numbers within the text, from the abstract to the end of the text, should be placed at the bottom and centred.

Author Identification
Author’s names, institutional affiliations, and e-mail addresses should be sent on a separate sheet, bearing the title of the paper, to the same e-mail addresses above.

Submission: All year round
Central Inquiry (CI) seeks to publish authors who strive to produce original, insightful, interesting, and theoretically solid research. All articles must be accessible to a wide-ranging readership. Authors should write manuscripts as simply and concisely as possible, without sacrificing meaningfulness or clarity of exposition.
Papers submitted elsewhere should not be presented for publication.
